TWIN MR-3 is an upgraded version of the MR-3 active degaussing system. Designed for high-end electron microscopy applications in life and materials science, TWIN MR-3 eliminates environmental field noise even in challenging magnetic field environments. TWIN MR-3 uses two low-noise triaxial fluxgate sensors to measure the magnetic field. The signals from the two sensors are combined through an adjustable mixer to create a "virtual sensor" within the electron microscope column. The dual-sensor configuration significantly improves performance in non-uniform magnetic fields, such as those caused by nearby field sources. Furthermore, as with the single-sensor MR-3, the distance between the sensor and the EM column can be greater, reducing sensitivity to magnetic field changes generated by the microscope itself, for example during image mode changes.
