In material systems containing magnetic skyrmions, ferromagnetic multilayer films with interface Dzyaloshinskii Moriya Interaction (DMI) are compatible with modern nanomanufacturing processes, and the resulting magnetic skyrmions can stably exist at room temperature, providing a material basis for electronic devices based on magnetic skyrmions.

This article uses in-situ low-temperature tensile testing technology in transmission electron microscopy to analyze the deformation defect behavior of twin induced plastic deformation (TWIP) steel during the uniform plastic deformation stage at -50 ° C, -120 ° C, and -180 ° C. The effect of temperature changes on dislocation slip and twinning behavior in TWIP steel is studied. Research has found that TWIP steel activates slip systems other than conventional slip at -50 ° C; As the temperature further decreases, there is no significant decrease in dislocation activity in TWIP steel, especially for dislocation cross slip that requires thermal activation assistance, which can still occur at -180 oC. At the same time, the research results indicate that the maintenance of strong plasticity in TWIP steel at low temperatures is coordinated by multiple deformation mechanisms: deformation twinning, twinning dislocation interaction, dislocation cross slip and the resulting dislocation interaction. Essentially, the twinning behavior and the activity of dislocation slip are simultaneously maintained.
