    Eclipse FN1 is developed specifically for electrophysiological research, with enhanced operability and ease of patch clamp experiments. The advantages provided by FN1 include a slim body, streamlined structure, improved electrode placement, long working distance, and greater noise reduction. The deeper regions of the sample can be clearly observed through infrared (IR) light.

    ● One lens covers magnification from low to high

    When combined with a high numerical aperture, long working distance 16x objective lens (numerical aperture 0.8, working distance 3.0) and optional variable magnification dual port, observations can be made within a large magnification range of 5.6x to 64x. This objective lens enables observation from a low magnification large field of view (up to 2.0mm) to a high magnification high-resolution without changing the objective lens.

    ● Imaging deeper areas of the image through IR-DIC

    The axial chromatic aberration in the near-infrared region (up to 850nm) has been corrected in CFI Apochromat NIR 40X/60X W for clear observation of the microstructure of thick samples. The CFI Plan 100XC W (numerical aperture 1.1, working distance 2.5) is the world's first water immersion lens with depth induced aberration correction. Due to its special correction ring, this lens can correct spherical aberration caused by imaging deep within tissues or working at physiological temperatures. Therefore, it is highly suitable for IR-DIC imaging, confocal applications, and multiphoton imaging. By rotating the corresponding turntable, it is possible to achieve alternation between visible and infrared wavelengths, as well as different lighting techniques (DIC to oblique light).

    ● Easy electrode placement

    Microelectrodes can easily enter the sample because the objective lens has a working distance of up to 2.5-3.5mm and a wide incident angle of up to 45 °.

    ● Safe and easy objective lens switching

    When switching magnification, the objective lens installed on the sliding objective turntable can be lifted. This can prevent the objective lens from colliding with the machine or specimen. The retraction distance is 15 mm, so the use of thick glass dishes is not affected. By using a control lever to eliminate the risk of specimen disturbance, the top of the objective lens can be easily immersed in the tank solution (approximately 1 mm).

    ● Convenient operation

    The focusing knob and field stop are located at the front of the microscope stand, in an open space, making it easy to operate with a fixed stage. Optional remote control handles can also be used for operation from outside the shielding cover.

    ● Enhanced noise reduction function

    By using fiber optic illumination to introduce fibers into the system from outside the shielding cover and connecting them to the grounding wire of the main part of the microscope, electrical noise can be successfully reduced. By conducting critical measurements and simulation analysis to improve the stiffness of the microscope, vibration noise has also been reduced.

    ● Responding to a wide range of experimental needs

    By inserting a shim between the body and arm, the height of the microscope can be increased by 10-30mm. This is beneficial for observing large samples. In addition, according to the experimental purpose, the condenser, sub stage, and turntable can be completely removed from the microscope to support more free space.
