Professor Peng Yong from Lanzhou University: Density control of magnetic skyrmions in Pt/Co/Au multilayer films

Magneton is a topological spin structure that is expected to become an information storage unit for the next generation of racetrack magnetic storage devices due to its small size, stable structure, and low driving current density. In material systems containing magnetic skyrmions, ferromagnetic multilayer films with interface Dzyaloshinskii Moriya Interaction (DMI) are compatible with modern nanomanufacturing processes, and the resulting magnetic skyrmions can stably exist at room temperature, providing a material basis for electronic devices based on magnetic skyrmions.
